Description
NOTICE�OF�INTENT�TO�AWARD SINGLE/SOLE SOURCE The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Acquisitions and Grants Office intends�to�award a single source, firm fixed price purchased order as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)�to Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation to�provide technician services to assist with installing the science equipment on fishing boats for the Northeast Cooperative Research Branch, and ensuring that data are collected and transmitted properly.�The Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation has been instrumental in co-developing the Deck Data Hub software that powers this unique system and piloting numerous hardware configurations of the �Deckbox� � a microcomputer with a touchscreen display and remote communication capabilities. The Government intends�to�procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS�NOTICE�IS NOT A REQUEST�FOR�COMPETITIVE QUOTES and a solicitation will not be issued. Sources interested in responding�to�this�notice�will be considered�for�future requirements, and shall submit a capability statement that includes technical capability and cost information, sufficient detail, and convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability�to�meet the requirement. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads �eMOLT Notice of Intent�.�To�ensure your response along with any and all attachments are received, attachment(s) must be less than 20 MB [in total]. It is the responsibility�of�the offeror�to�contact the government�to�confirm receipt prior�to�the offer due date and time. Capability statements shall be submitted by email ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment�to�the following POC: Jenna Taulman at�jenna.taulman@noaa.gov A request�for�documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. Oral communications are not acceptable in response�to�this�notice. A determination not�to�compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion�of�the government.
