- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is 75D301-24-Q-78411, Combined Synopsis Solicitation �CDC_JPI TruePortable X-ray Systems_2024� and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Brand name: CubeX Generator Series Make or Model Number: CubeX16 and CubeX28 Specifications: see attachment �JPI_CubeX Generator Series-Specifications� or https://www.jpihealthcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/JPI-CubeX-Brochure.pdf � Brand name: TruePortable X-ray system Make or Model Number: see attached �JPI-TruePortable-Brochure� Specifications: see attachment �JPI_TruePortable-Specifications� Market Research indicates that above listed products uniquely meet agency needs and intends to proceed with a sole source award to JPI Healthcare Solutions or their authorized reseller / partners.� The CubeX28 and CubeX16 models collectively provided the best targeted and optimized size ranges to provide clear, high frequency imaging for species of animals ranging from mice at approximately 30grams up to goats at approximately 40Kg. Both units are needed to cover the range of a colony of diverse species maintained as animal models for infectious disease research at CDC in the Comparative Medicine Branch. The TruePortable Xray system are unique in that they are portable and can be used at both the Roybal and Lawrenceville locations unlike traditional xray units that have to be permanently installed in the animal facility. Portable units create a cost savings by not necessitating purchase of duplicate units at both Roybal and Lawrenceville. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to the lowest price, technically acceptable offeror for the following requirement. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be issued in writing to the successful offeror.
