SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS E14CL4b Endocavity Biplane Transrectal & Transvaginal Transducer is a high-resolution biplane transducer ideal for precise volume studies and guiding prostate therapy. The transducer is designed for simultaneous biplane imaging of the prostate. E14CL4b is suitable for transrectal imaging, transvaginal imaging, guidance of all transperineally interventional procedures. The surgeon can perform quick, reliable puncture and biopsy procedures with a single-use needle guide. Expanded sector gives a wider field of view. By increasing the transverse sector angle from a default width of 140° to 180° and increase the default sagittal view of 65mm to a trapezoidal view, which provides an additional 15°on each side. The E14CL4b Endocavity Biplane Transducer features include, activation of the transducer and freeze, store, and print images with one press of the integrated Smart Button. An ergonomic design improves operator comfort. Advanced transducer connector designed for noise reduction in the ultrasound image and one-handed operation. Correct reprocessing is fundamental in guarding against infection. To make liquid-based reprocessing more convenient, endocavity biplane transducers come with a special watertight plug lid to allow the entire transducer (including the cable and plug) to be fully submerged. The stainless-steel reprocessing tray is designed to be durable but protect the device from damage through reprocessing and storage of the E14CL4b Biplane Endocavity Transducer. EM Sensor Clamp for E14CL4b attaches via the sensor clamp to the transducer. The transducer transmits ultrasound data to the system. The position of the sensor is detected by the EM transmitter. The sensor clamp is connected to the sensor of the EM control unit: Insert the sensor cable into socket, until an audible click is heard. Push the sensor into the sensor clamp channel. The small indentation on the tip of the sensor must be facing the groove in the sensor clamp channel. Slide the other sensor clamp channel over the steel stud on the side of the transducer until an audible click is heard. The numbered and colored scale under the ultrasound image on the system monitor represents the sensor s proximity to the EM transmitter. A number in green (0 or 1) represents the optimal proximity.
