Description

The U.S. Department of Navy, Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Contracting Division intends to enter into a sole source firm-fixed-price contract with Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. in accordance with FAR 13.501(a) and 41 USC 1901 for the award of the ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7. This optical microscope can meet the unique requirements of water auto-immersion objectives, adaptive phase gradient contrast imaging mode, adaptive lens guard for avoiding carrier plate collisions, and incorporated UV disinfection. Please see the attached specifications for additional details. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted; however, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days of publication of this announcement. Any submitted capability statement, proposal, quotation, or supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received shall be considered by the agency; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
