- The AE will provide construction period services to support the construction phase of the 678-19-105 Replace Air Distribution Systems, B57 Basement project. This is to reduce the number of change orders during construction and to facilitate successful construction. Scan to BIM service: The AE will provide a laser scan above ceiling inspection of the construction area which is to include the previously completed construction phases and any upcoming construction phases directly related to this project. The laser scan data must be compatible with the existing AutoCAD/Revit project models. The AE will use the results determine updated phasing plans, any necessary design alterations, and as-built documents. Updated Construction Phasing Plan: The AE will provide an updated construction phasing plan and estimated construction schedule after the Scan to BIM service has been completed and after coordinating with VA stakeholders. Site Visits: The AE will schedule in site-visits to correspond with each phase of the updated construction phasing plan. Cx Agent to be present for the Commissioning of each phase. Design Review Comments: In addition to section V.B, the AE will address any RFIs that come from the National Compounding Advisory Committee; and VHA Office of Healthcare Environmental and Facilities Program, as the design bid set and modifications are currently under review from those offices. Commissioning: Contractor to provide qualified individual to perform Commissioning on the construction previously completed phases and at the completion of any upcoming construction phases directly related to this project. C.� A/E Design Scope, General The A/E will utilize VA Form 10-6298 in preparing their proposal. The A/E will utilize the form several times over to show the costs associated with construction period services. The A/E will develop and provide a complete set of drawings and specifications for bidding and construction contract purposes which meet the previously stated Project Scope/Objectives. The A/E will also provide limited construction period services as described in this and other sections of the A/E contract. Commissioning using a third-party commissioning agent, hired by the A/E, will be required as part of construction services. The A/E will continue the design process by meeting with the VA design team. The purpose of these meetings is to obtain information for the design development submission. The remaining portions of this document outline in more detail the specific requirements of the A/E scope of work for this project. D.� Other Design Meetings and Design Review Trips In addition to the scheduled formal design submission review meetings, it is expected that the A/E will need to hold other design meetings with the VA Design Team and make other investigative site visits to coordinate and resolve various design issues and to gather information needed for design. It will be the responsibility of the A/E to request and conduct such meetings and investigative site visits as necessary to meet the requirements of this contract and to provide a quality design and final set of construction documents. For design site investigations, call ahead to the COR to obtain access to occupied, locked or concealed spaces.� Allow adequate lead-time, where appropriate, to coordinate access to normally occupied functional spaces. E.� A/E Personnel Changes The A/E will exclusively utilize the key personnel named in the proposal to perform the identified functions and services.� In the event that any personnel named in the proposal are unable to perform their duties, the A/E will promptly submit to the Contracting Officer in writing, the name and qualifications of a proposed replacement with equal or superior qualifications. No substitution will be made without prior approval of the Contracting Officer.
