Description
Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Mexico City will launch the solicitation on SAM.gov website when it is available. The U.S. Embassy Mexico City has a requirement for a professional contractor to provide Reupholstering and Furniture Restoration Services on existing furniture in Mexico City. The project includes repairing existing furniture with specialized suppliers to extend its useful life, thus reducing the cost of disposal and repurchase of furniture. For reupholstering, final service will result in a complete change of fabric and underlying components that show beyond normal wear and tear to give the items a renewed appearance upon completion of the repairs. These services also include repair of the internal components when necessary to return the furniture to proper working order. Items submitted for reupholstering typically include a combination of chairs, armchairs, sofas, and loveseat. Furniture restoration for non-upholstered furniture includes repair of all surfaces and structural components as well as the repair of any glass, fasteners, or moving components. A complete solicitation package with time frames, specifications, site visit information and proposals deadline will be posted in the near future. The performance Period of performance for this contract shall be from the date stated in the Notice to Proceed letter and continuing for 12 months, with a (4) four - year�option to renew. The total duration of this Contract is five (5) years. Individual task orders shall be issued for stated services within the rates designated. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. All contractors that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.� At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal: Be able to understand written and spoken English; Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing; Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work; Have all licenses and permits required by local law; Meet all local insurance requirements; Have the ability to obtain a performance and guarantee bond and a payment bond, or to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution; Have no adverse criminal record; Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States; Have good experience and past performance records; and, Identify specialized experience and technical competence required to complete the construction work in accordance with this solicitation. All contractors are to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov� prior to submitting a quotation pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7.
