- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Aldevra LLC for Sterile Storage Cabinet Maintenance at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center for one base year with the provision of four (4) option years. The NAICS Code is 811310. Background: This is a full-service contract for the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, New York 10468 to furnish all labor, equipment, parts, tools, and supplies necessary to fully maintain the sterile storage cabinets in accordance with standard industry practices for yearly preventative maintenance and repairs. General: The Bronx VAMC is requiring annual preventive maintenance on 13 Sterile Storage Cabinets. The maintenance includes all the tasks listed below to include replacing filters, pumps, lamps and all parts as needed to maintain sterile environment. The service will also include ensuring proper airflow, filter integrity, static pressure etc. This is a patient safety essential requirement to maintain sterile environment. Price for Factory authorized Annual PM contract for 13 SSC4500DX cabinets to include all parts listed below, labor, and transportation. Technician will arrive with a master spare parts kit for each PM service or kit will be shipped to facility prior to the technicians visit. All PM work must be done by manufacturers certified and trained authorized technician. Scope of Work: Replace HEPA Filter Annually, HEPA Filter included. Check Airflow, Check Filter Integrity, Check Static Pressure Service clean cooling air filter annually. Replace humidifier water reservoir, water pump, all hoses and tubing associated with humidifier water distribution annually, all parts Included. Test all tubing for leaks, hose clamps and operational integrity. Change vapor supply tube annually Check humidifier operation. Inspect heater element & liquid level sensor, clean water level controller, level sensors and test. Check DX cooler operation & clean. Check current, voltage, temperature, and fans. Check electric heater current, voltage, temperature rise, & clean. Check recirculation fans current, voltage, and fan performance, & clean. Check heat rejection Cabinet fans current, voltage, and fan performance, clean. Check cabinet Pressure controller and calibrate as needed. Check temperature, humidity & pressure sensor calibration. Check all electrical cords and connections. Check door seals and latching mechanisms. Check all gasketing integrity, repair as needed. Replace UVC bulbs annually. Clean cabinet and leave a copy of PM service report with Customer. Replace keyless lock batteries annually. Check cabinet pressure controller and calibrate as needed. Check door seals and latching mechanisms. Clean water tank and pump, replace as needed to prevent microbial growth. Check gravity fill port. Clean refrigeration cassette. Safety Requirements: All work must comply with VA and OSHA safety standards. Place of Performance: James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx NY, 10468 Days and Hours of Operation: Normal and Pre-scheduled maintenance - Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding federal holidays. Federal Holidays which are observed by the federal government are annotated below. Emergency Services anything outside of normal and pre-scheduled maintenance Inspection: VA personnel and the contractor shall inspect any work that is performed and agree on the condition and any existing damage or failures prior to beginning work. A final inspection for quality assurance will take place after completion of the work by VA personnel prior to acceptance. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by August 28, 2024, at 4:00 ET. Responses shall be submitted via email to Lee.Kern@va.gov.
