Description
A.1 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 59. Line 8 in the specification calls for 13.8 X 5.5 - which is close to a 21:9 aspect ratio, but further down in the spec on line 32 it says, Must have an aspect ratio of 16:9. These two specs contradict each other. Which one is correct or preferred? Answer - It is incumbent on the quoter to ensure that the 16:9 ratio is achieved. Refer to Question 1. 60. Line 29 regarding redundant power and data capability. Does the VA want redundancy or not? The specification refers to being capable of, but not must have redundancy. Answer - Quotes that address the capability may receive a higher rating than those that do not. 61. Is a resin-encapsulated LED necessary since the wall will not be touched? Resin encapsulation will add cost and difficulty to future repairs. Answer - Yes, resin-encapsulated LED is necessary. 62. Are contractors able to use available conduits from the video wall to the highlighted Electrical and IT rooms? Answer - Yes, there are existing trays and troffers, but there will be a need to have a conduit installed, either to finish the runs or meet the requirements within the National Electric Code (NEC). 63. Is backing support being added or is this only being supported from the metal studs? Answer - Refer to Section 2.5 OVAMC VA Facility Management will not allow any major modifications to the wall. Any backing board and frames required by the video wall manufacturer to secure the wall will be evaluated, but they shall be aesthetically pleasing. 64. How many images (inputs) are required to be displayed simultaneously? Answer - Player Model # XT1144-T will provide the data to the video wall. Refer to manufacturer specifications. 65. If using remote power, is there available power in the IT Room? Answer - This requirement does not require remote power.
