Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source contract to�AID Autoimmun Diagnostika GmbH (Ebinger Str. 4�D-72479 Strassberg) for one (1) AID vSpot Spectrum. CDC has a requirement for an EliSpot/FluoroSpot device that is capable of detecting viral colonies in�different plate formats including 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well plates.�The�new system must be able to read both colorimetric and fluorescent spots with�7&1 filter wheel allowing for customized selection of up to 7 individual narrow�bands & hard-coated fluorescent filters while analyzing enzymatic activities on�various plate formats. The new system must be able to fit into a small bench top space of 430x430x550 mm. The new system must be able to comply with CDC's�Quality Management System requirements. The AID vSpot Spectrum is the high-end EliSpot/FluoroSpot device that meets�all the above required specifications. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).�AID Autoimmun Diagnostika GmbH is the only source capable of fulfilling this requirement.� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations / responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to contract specialist at ttu3@cdc.gov. Questions or responses will not be accepted by phone. Any quotation in response to this notice must indicate the capability to provide a product that includes the below technical specifications: Can test samples in 6-well, 12-well, 24-well, 48-well and 96-well formats for enzymatic assays Can perform colony counting in 6-well, 12-well and 48-well formats for viral plaque assay Must include 3 fluorescence filters (FITC, Cy3 and Cy5) to read and count 3 fluorescent spots in 96-well format with the choice of up to 7 different colors Must include at least 3 narrowband optical filters to prevent crosstalk or overlapping of�excitation and emission wavelengths for 3 fluorescent dyes Use single graphic user interface for analyzing different plate formats to minimize run time for improved throughput. 43 cm x 43 cm x 55 cm or smaller The quote must also provide for a two-year technical support and software upgrade at no additional charge.
