- Description
- This is a notice of intent to sole source a contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), only one source being available to meet the Government�s need.� The period of performance is 10/1/2024-09/30/2025. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532420, Office Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing, with a small business size standard of $40,000,000.00.� The FSC/PSC is W046 � Lease or Rental of Equipment � Water Purification. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award a sole source contract, firm fixed price, for one year of lease and maintenance of Water Filtration and Ice Stations to Quench USA, Inc., 630 Allendale Rd, Suite 200, King of Prussia, PA� 19406-1695. There are no other sources of service that will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has yielded no other capable lease providers and servicers within the vicinity of the VA Southern Nevada Health Care System, North Las Vegas VA Medical Center, and CBOCs.� No other lessors are known to provide filtration with 9 stage, .0001-micron filtering system capable of removing sediments, pre-carbon and providing a reverse osmosis membrane while addressing taste and chlorine.� No other vendors are known capable of providing all necessary equipment on lease, including single or double reverse osmosis systems as needed in specific sites.� # Item & Description Qty Rate Amount Any responsible source that feels it is capable in performing this requirement may submit a quote for the above listed items and describe and/or submit documentation to support your capabilities.� The response will be considered by the agency.� If you are not the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the leased items, you must submit an authorized distributor letter signed by the OEM stating you are authorized to lease the equipment.� If you are not the OEM and a small business, you must indicate in your response how you will comply with limitations on subcontracting and/or the non-manufacturer rule.� While the RFQ may close at a later date, responses to this Notice of Intent to Sole Source should be submitted to Leah Smith at leah.smith@va.gov no later than Monday, August 19th, at 8:00 AM Pacific Time to be considered. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the Sole Source acquisition.
