- Draeger Medical, Inc EVITA INFINITY� V500 Service Contract NAICS Code: 811210 Product Service Code: J065 Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD 20892 POTS: 24-010841 Description This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. �A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center, Office of Purchasing and Contracts on behalf of the Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to award a fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Draeger Inc., 3135 Quarry RD Telford, Pennsylvania 18969-1042 for a twelve (12) month base year Dragger Evita � Infinity � V500 ventilation Service Contract and Two (2) option years. �Instrument Serial numbers, ASEB-0081, ASEB-0082, ASEB-0080, and ASEB-0079. The Critical Care Medicine Department has a requirement for a service contract for four (4) Dragger Evita � Infinity � V500 ventilation units.� The ventilators are used in the animal research that deliver precise volumes and pressure. �This service contract is necessary to ensure that the animals are receiving the best possible care under the standards that are required by the National Institute of Health protocols.� Draeger, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer of the Evita � Infinity � V500 ventilation instrument, and the only source that can provide the preventative maintenance services. �Drager technicians are the only ones who can provide services under warranty.� Draeger Inc. is the only approved vendor to perform these services under the existing approved protocols. The procurement of this service contract is imperative to prevent a possible work stoppage and protect the safety of the animals. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Tasha Lowe, Contract Specialist, lowet2@mail.nih.gov by the due date August 23, 2024 and time marked in this notice
