- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA Regional Procurement Office Central, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Network Contracting Office 12, located at 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214-1476 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to First nation Group, LLC located at 4566 E. Highway 20, Suite 208, Niceville, FL 32578-8839, for the purchase of two Acute Care BiWaze Clear Systems. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Respiratory Therapy Service, located at 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI, 53295-0001, has a requirement for two Acute Care BiWaze Clear Systems. Current respiratory cough assist equipment has been recalled and/or reached end of life and is no longer technically supported. Cough assist devices help patients that cannot produce enough coughing force to mobilize and remove mucus and debris from the lungs and airways on their own. The Acute Care BiWaze Clear Systems provides three distinct respiratory therapies positive expiratory pressure, oscillating lung expansion, and nebulization therapy. The purchase includes the control unit, internal lithium-ion battery, mobile cart, user manual, acute care quick reference guide, power cord, and 2 x dual lumen breathing circuit mouthpiece. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available at this time. Interested parties may give written notice to Stacy.Massey@va.gov by 5:00pm e.s.t. on 08/16/2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
