Description
Sole source acquisition of: Service contract for the maintenance, service, parts, and labor of eight TSI 8130A automated filter testers, including three on-site visits to both Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV, covering a one year period from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. Cleaning, service, and calibration of two TSI SMPS systems, 3 TSI 8530 DustTrak II detectors, two 8038 PortaCount detectors, and 6 TSI 8587A photometers. Purchase of 1 TSI 8107 adapter, 5 TSI 8130A-NOISE boxes, and 50 TSI 813010 test media boxes. Proposed Vendor: TSI Incorporated, 500 Cardigan Rd., Shoreview, MN 55126 This is a service and calibration contract for TSI Incorporated to maintain equipment manufactured and sold by TSI Incorporated. Only TSI incorporated is authorized to perform the services and maintenance required of this equipment. TSI is the only source for parts for these machines.This is a commercially available standard maintenance and service contract, calibrations, and equipment purchase. The maintenance, service, and calibrations are offered by TSI Incorporated for equipment manufactured and sold by TSI Incorporated. Only TSI incorporated is authorized to perform the services and maintenance required of this equipment. TSI is the only source for parts for these machines. In-house maintenance of these instruments is not feasible due to the high cost of replacement parts and required quick turnaround of repairs. The TSI equipment integrates with preexisting TSI manufactured systems that are already in use. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, "" Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."" Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will review any/all capabilities statements information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response to this announcement will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
