- Pre-Solicitation Notice: 140PS124Q0021 The National Park Service (NPS) CMS Contracting Operations Strategic is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for George Washington Memorial Parkway Maintenance Facility Place of Performance: George Washington Memorial Parkway Maintenance Facility, 2700 George Washington Memorial Parkway, Arlington, VA Place of Performance Postal Code: 22202 Place Of Performance Country: U.S.A. This procurement action is being solicited as a 100% Small Business Set Aside This requirement shall be procured in accordance with FAR 13, and FAR 36 Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. The Contracting Officer shall use FAR Part 13.106-2. Construction Magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000 Estimated Period of Performance: 90 days The NAICS code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors Size Standard: $16.5M The Product Service Code (PSC): Y1PZ, Construction of Other Non-Building Facilities This pre-solicitation announcement is not a solicitation document, but pre-notice of an upcoming solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting your proposal will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or after the date listed below. Proposed Solicitation Issue Date: Estimated on/about 22 August 2024. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. General Information: BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The National Park Service seeks a contractor to replace or fabricate a cantilevered sliding vehicle gate at our maintenance facility located at 2700 George Washington Memorial Parkway, Arlington, VA 22202. This facility houses fleet, equipment, and personnel. The gate is approximately 60 feet long, 10 feet tall, and spans a 45-foot opening. It is about 20 years old and has sustained structural damage over time, including multiple instances of welding fabrication and component replacement. The existing drive unit and control cabinet are outdated, with the control cabinet frequently being inoperable. This work involves performing work as defined in the Statement of Work that will be provided when solicitation is issued. Detailed requirements and/or specifications will be listed within the solicitation. A Firm Fixed Price award is contemplated from this solicitation with an award to the offeror(s) providing the best value, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation once issued. The solicitation package will include the Solicitation Forms (SF1442), Statement of Work and other attachments as required.
