- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide the below answers to vendor questions. The deadline for quote submissions is August 9, 2024, by 11:59pm Eastern. Questions and Answers: (SC) 2: Question 1: The robot must have the 'ability for the end user to deploy the robot remotely and send it to disinfect a room(s). By deploy do you mean the robot moving ""FULLY AUTONOMOUSLY"" through a hospital safely while people are present? Answer: Yes. (SC) 3: Question 2: In reference to the dosimeter cards, what measurement in dosage would be the benchmark and how many dosimeter cards will be used to measure whole room disinfection? With studies showing 100mJ/cm2 for 4 log C. diff disinfection, will 100mJ/cm2 be the benchmark for 269 square foot room within ten minutes? Answer: This will vary depending on the microorganisms in the room and environmental conditions. Typically, to inactivate bacteria and viruses, 25mJ/cm2 is sufficient and to inactivate spores, 50mJ/cm2 is sufficient. Through this exposure, a minimum 4 log reduction must be achieved. If the equipment requires a higher exposure rate such as 100mJ/cm2 to achieve 4 log reduction, then the equipment must perform at that rate. The number of dosimeter cards will vary on the size of the room but since the proposed equipment is a whole-room disinfectant, regardless of the position and location of the dosimeter cards, the equipment must achieve the previously stated exposure rate. (SC) 2: Question 3: We are seeking clarification regarding the robot functioning without the reliance on a Wifi connection. Is a Wifi connection available in all facilities? Answer: No.
