- GSA 07/31/2024 THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY.�� This is not a Request for Proposal.� This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract.� This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work.� The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement.� Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), has a verified need to perform masonry repairs on the Melvin Price federal building and courthouse located at 750 Missouri Ave. East St. Louis, IL 62201. The work involves restoration of brick, limestone, and granite in various locations throughout the exterior of the building.� The restoration will include repairing or replacing deteriorated/damaged units and spot repointing.� Environmental requirements include removal of bird fouling and ACM sealant. The building was constructed in 1910 and is listed on the historic register.� Therefore, the contractor must have extensive experience working on historic masonry buildings. Workmen on site will be required to demonstrate their proficiency working with historic materials including face brick, limestone, and granite.� The demonstration shall include but is not limited to grinding joints, performing dutchman repairs, replacing damaged units and cleaning masonry. Replace existing water cooled chillers and associated cooling tower, pumps, piping, controls, motor control center, etc. as indicated in the drawings and specified herein. Minor site regrading, concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, and metal fencing will be included in the project. This project will take place at the Melvin Price federal building and courthouse located at 750 Missouri Ave. East St. Louis, IL 62201. The contractor would be responsible for providing the labor, supervision, equipment, and material necessary to perform the work specified above. The construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� The anticipated award date is estimated to be in October, 2024.� The NAICS code is 238140 with a size standard of $19 million.� No other information is available at this time. ******* If you are an interested party, please provide the following information.� All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses: �A short statement regarding your business� expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size.
