Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an invitation for bids (IFB) solicitation that will result in a firm-fixed-price contract for construction at its Harry S. Truman Project Office in Warsaw, Missouri. The project office requires a new wastewater treatment system for the Powerhouse and Maintenance facility. The new system will utilize portions of the existing sewer pipe, will add new septic tanks, and will require a new leach field to be constructed. In addition, the existing comfort station will be demolished and some utilities will be removed and/or abandoned. A new sewer line, septic tanks, lift station and leach field will be installed for the new comfort station, as well as utilities for a pre-cast concrete replacement comfort station and the installation of an aggregate pad. The existing lagoon will be removed and graded to a level usable surface. The estimated period of performance for completion of the work is 180 calendar days from the issuance of notice to proceed. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This project will be solicited as a 100% total small business set aside using the North American Industry Classification System Code 237110 (Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction). The small business size standard is $45,000,000. The solicitation is expected to be published between 15 and 30 days after the publication of this notice. Bids are expected to be due within 30 days after the solicitation is published. The due date and time will be specified in the solicitation. It is anticipated that a site visit will be scheduled for this solicitation. The details to attend the site visit will be included in the solicitation. Once the solicitation is posted, any plans and drawings that are part of the solicitation will be provided through SAM.gov. and/or through the PIEE Solicitation Portal described in the next paragraph. This requirement will be solicited, and bids will be received, through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) system Solicitation Portal.
