- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price, contract to Southern Material Handling, Inc., the Dock LIFTGATE for the Warehouse located at Hampton VA Medical Center located at 100 Emancipation Drive Hampton VA 23667. This contract action is for products and services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (Only One Source). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333998 (All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 700 Employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS Order to include the following: Item Number Description Quantity Unit 0001 DOCKLIFT-AL Dock Lift, AL Model: 3480+M DISAPPEARING DOCK LIFT -bCapacity: Lifting (lbs.) = 11000, Axle Ends (lbs.) = 8800, Axle Sides (lbs.) = 8400 - Platform: Width (in.) = 96 Length (in.) = 168 - Lowered Height (in.) = 15, Travel (in.) = 58, Raised Height (in.) = 73, - Power Unit: Voltage = 230/60/3, HP=5, (External Power Unit) - Speed: 7 fpm Controls: Push Button - Prewired Power Unit - Upper Limit Switch Mounted - Quick Disconnect Prewired - Installation package = 10gal oil and 40ft of 1/2in hose - 84"" W x 132"" L x 15"" H Fixed steel ramp - Finish - Galvacon galvanizing paint as a primer under silver color baked enamel finish; Match Paint COLOR & Primer 1 EA 0002 INST-LIFT Install dock lift per manufacturers instructions: Installation + Unload and set in pit, or verify set in pit correctly, or on surface + Run Hydraulic hoses as needed, mfg standard is 20', longer runs may result in a change order. + Set and Connect pump unit + Set limit switches if applicable + Shim level and Anchor lift and pump unit as required. + Disposal of old lift off site Customer responsibilities: 1. Electrical wiring 2. Forklift for unloading and installation 1 JB A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
