Description
The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to correct the proposal due dates within the SF 1449 to 19 August 2024, 4:00pm Eastern Time. Amendment 0001 also includes specified site visit information as follows: An organized site visit in the State of Kuwait has been finalized and approved with the Kuwait Ministry of Defense (KMOD). Please note over the next couple of weeks, if your company submitted the information as required within the specified timeframe, you will be contacted prior to the scheduled site visit date with your acceptance or denial from KMOD, as well as further instructions on how to prepare for the day. The planned date/time/locations of the site visits as it pertains to this Solicitation are as follows: Date: July 24th, 2024, Time: 7:00am (AST) Locations: Site (1) Jahra Air Defense Site; Site (2) Udari Range. Please note only those who receive acceptance from KMOD will be permitted on the sites. Approval for access to the site visit location(s) is the purview of the Government of Kuwait and KMOD. It is the responsibility of the firms planning to attend the site visit that they are familiar with KMOD security requirements and restrictions, particularly those restrictions related to the nationality of the potential attendees. The U.S. Government and USACE will not be responsible for any denial of access by the Government of Kuwait for any reason. As stated previously, during the site visit, all company representatives must stay in one group and will be escorted by the USACE representative at all times. At no time will any Offerors representatives be allowed to leave the group or walk anywhere on base without a USACE representative. Offerors shall provide company representatives with personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes hardhat, high visibility vest, etc. The offerors representative(s) shall adhere to all instructions and guidelines set forth by the USACE representative and/or host nation officials at all times during the visit. It is the responsibility of the offeror to have a general understanding of host nation military security rules and regulations and do their utmost to comply.
