- Description
- HUB BASIN THINNING The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office is acquiring tree thinning services on BLM-managed public lands. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and materials to lop and scatter 3,623 acres (Units 1-4) of pinyon and/or juniper trees. There may be up to an additional 167 acres (Unit 5) of cut and pile indicated as option years that would be awarded subject to available funding in subsequent years. A maximum of 3,714 acres would be treated under this contract. Trees to be cut are pinyon and juniper. Leave areas and boundaries may be altered prior to implementation of the project to mitigate sensitive resource concerns that may reduce the acreage. The Solicitation will include contract documents with details of the project when it is released. Project sites are located in White Pine County, Nevada. Service Contract Act (SCA) Wage Rate Requirements are applicable to this project and the appropriate SCA Wage Decision(s) will be included in the solicitation. The BLM will issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation on/about July 22, 2024. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The competitive solicitation, 140L3924R0016, will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry-Fuels Management Services and the size standard is $34M (per the SBA�s Table of Small Business Size Standards). A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about July 22, 2024, at the SAM website located at www.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than August 7, 2024. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s). This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The primary Point of Contact is Matthew B.
