- Sources Sought #1132287-SS This is a Sources Sought notice Only.� This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. �This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Background The USDA ARS NCCCWA requires 30X coverage of whole genome sequencing of 96 DNA samples of rainbow trout (Genome size ~2.4Gb). Contractor shall provide all services, supplies, equipment and facilities necessary to provide sequencing of 96 genomic DNA samples in accordance with the required performance elements and benchmarks. Schedule of Line Items: Line Item 01������� 96 Samples�������� All 96 DNA samples will be provided within 60 days after the contract is awarded. Required performance elements and benchmarks: Amount of DNA provided by the government per sample will be a minimum of 2,000 ng of rainbow trout genomic DNA. DNA sample quantification and QC will include Qubit and Nano Drop; Quality check of DNA samples by vendor using Qubit or similar instruments; Standard Illumina shotgun genomic DNA PCR-free library preparation performed by the vendor (Mean insert size shall be about 500bp); Platform and configuration: Illumina technology, PE 150 cycles; Read Length: 2 x 150 nucleotides (paired-end); Data Output:� A minimum of 72 Gbases output DNA sequence per sample from 480M paired-end reads (240M reads in each direction). For each read, greater than 85% of bases shall have QC?30. The output data files are in standard fastq format; Vendor must have in place a series of quality control (QC) steps during libraries preparation and genomic DNA sequencing. Deliverables: Completion and return of all deliverables are required within 30 days from receipt of all 96 DNA samples. The order number shall be included on all documentation and shipments. Includes the DNA sequencing data for all samples, and a Final Project Report describing library preparation, QC procedures and sequencing methods. All data must be provided via secure portal download OR in external hard drives to: USDA-ARS-NCCCWA 11861 Leetown Road Kearneysville, WV 25430 Completion and return of all deliverables is required within 30 days from receipt of all 96 DNA samples. The order number shall be included on all documentation and shipments. The Contractor Shall: This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.�� The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources including any Small Businesses; HUBZone small business; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged businesses.
