Sources Sought The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Small Business Manufacturers, other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing items requested, as well as any large businesses. The results from this source sought notice will be used to determine set-aside. The intended contract is a firm-fixed price supply purchase. There is NOT an SBA Non-Manufacturer Rule Class waiver for this requirement. NAICS Code: 339920 Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard: 750 Employees PSC/FSC: 7810 Athletic and Sporting Equipment GENERAL INFORMATION: The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to procure the supply of Pneumatic Leg Press for the research department at the Puget Sound Health Care System (Seattle Division) for a one time buy. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: ITEM: Pneumatic Leg Press The Leg Press must have the following capabilities: Unilateral movement each limb can be trained or measured symmetrically. Capable of measuring strength on each individual limb. (Our current equipment does not have this capability) Resistance range of up to 1562lbs. (Our current equipment only offers a resistance range of 900lbs which most study subjects can achieve therefore we cannot accurately measure peak strength or 1-RM.) Fully adjustable to accommodate a wide range of users. Our current equipment was unable to accommodate individuals over 72 inches tall. This machine is capable of accommodating individuals over 72 inches tall. Able to accommodate individuals over 400lbs INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND TO SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Any vendor interested and capable of meeting this requirement should provide a written statement to the Contracting Officer. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.
