Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to modify an existing purchase order to�PEACEFUL MIND HOME CARE, LLC, 4853 CORDELL AVENUE PH 10A, Bethesda, Maryland 20814-3050 on a sole source basis to continue to provide existing care via nursing assistant care for a disabled staff member to provide the reasonable accommodation to meet all requirements of applicable labor law. Scope of Work RADIS requires a nursing assistant to provide personal assistance and care for an OAM part-time staff member who has a physical disability as the reasonable accommodation to meet all requirements of applicable labor law. Under Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employers are required to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities during the hiring process and employment. Period of Performance Effective date through 02/01/2025. Background The Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health is the nation's largest hospital devoted entirely to clinical research. The Clinical Center provides hospital medical services for human subjects participating in intramural research protocols at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). For clinical investigation conducted by intramural NIH investigators from the various institutes and for other related research, the Clinical Center provides patient facilities and services, as well as supervises residency and other training programs. The Office of Administrative Management (OAM) provides leadership, direction, planning and coordination of NIH Clinical Center administrative management activities. These include the areas of: � Financial management, � Acquisition & contracts management, � Management analysis, � Human resources, � Information technology and � General administration. In addition, OAM supports Senior Leaders on administrative matters affecting the planning and execution of NIH Clinical Center programs; develops policies, guidelines, and procedures on matters relating to the administrative management activities of the Clinical Center; and serves as the Clinical Center focal point for the coordination, preparation, and analysis of a wide variety of programmatic reports and other documents associated with NIH, DHHS, and other Federal agencies. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 624120 with a size standard of $15M. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive quotations.� Interested concerns capable of providing the same products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities.� No solicitation is available. Information received will be evaluated for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government.� A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
