THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL OR QUOTE. THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. GENERAL: This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice, issued in accordance with FAR 15.201(e), to conduct market research. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute either a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP); nor is it a promise to issue an RFQ/RFP in the future. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept any unsolicited proposals. Responders, and not the Government, will pay for any costs incurred while responding to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice. Vendors who don t respond to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice may still participate in any future RFQ/RFP. Information submitted in response to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice is strictly voluntary and becomes the property of the Government. The Government may modify this announcement in the future, as information changes. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time. This is a RFI/Sources Sought Notice only, to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this request will be considered for the purpose of determining how the requirement will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice is a market research tool to help the Department of Veterans Affairs make acquisition decisions. The VA Heartland Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is looking for: Description of Use: To be used in the Marion, IL VAMC Dietetics Department Patient Kitchen This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. Current nutrition and food delivery carts are at the end of life and need replacement. New equipment needs to connect to current in place activator system (heating supply unit) for proper function and warranty. All offers must be for Meal Delivery Carts Minimum Technical Specifications: Tray Delivery cart 24 and 36 Tray Capacity Side Load Double Door Balloon Casters 4 ½ spacing. Floor Drains Full Perimeter Bumper Internal Sound Damping Material 4-sided integrated molded polymer top rail Description Quantity Food Delivery Cart 24 tray capacity 2 total $9,399.26 Food Delivery Cart 36 tray capacity 1 total $6,874.57 Heat on Demand RS Activator 1 $total 9,236.41 Heat on Demand Induction Base 72 total $5,393.52 High Performance Dome, Sapphire 72 total $1,198.08 Lid, Slotted 1 case total 38.90 Lid, Vented 1 case total 38.90 It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the brand name. If you are interested and are capable of providing the sought out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: Please indicate the size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.)? Is your company considered small under the NAICS code identified under this RFI? Are you the manufacturer, distributor, or an equivalent solution to the items being referenced above? If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above or an equivalent solution, do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA, VA NAC, NASA SEWP, or any other federal contract, that can be utilized to procure the requirement listed above? If so, please provide the contract number. Please submit your capabilities that show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that you can meet the requirement described in the attached SOW.
