- Wood Containers Blanket Purchase Agreement for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District**This Sources Sought is to be sent out to two NAICS codes : 339995 Burial Casket Manufacturing 321920 Wood Container Manufacturing Purpose: To identify small business companies interested in competing on a possible future RFP to produce and ship wood containers for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers? (USACE), St. Louis District .If any companies other than small businesses are interested, they may respond to this Sources Sought at this time. This Sources Sought is for the USACE, St. Louis District to procure wooden containers that will be used to store human remains (hereafter only referred to as ?wooden containers?). USACE, St. Louis District will issue a BPA for five years and is looking for companies capable of creating and shipping wooden containers. The work covered by this Sources Sought includes creating wood containers needed for storage. Containers may be of various sizes; the largest size is expected to be approximately 36?x18?x14? high and the smallest may be 4?x4?x4? high. Containers are expected to be constructed of a single type of wood, but various woods may be requested, such as cedar or pine. A single order may be for 100 or more containers, expected to be of the same kind of wood but in varying sizes. The lids need to be removeable but with the ability to be secured. The contractor should have the ability to create these containers (including lid assembly) without the use of metal fasteners or glue. See attachment.
