- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a solicitation for a Cost contract for the procurement of engineering support enhancement of the existing NAVAIR MH-60 National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Structural Analysis (NASTRAN) Finite Element Model (FEM) in support of regime recognition for the MH-60, as well as the development and improvement of the existing MH-60 crack and corrosion database. The Contractor shall provide engineering services to NAVAIR as described in the following paragraphs to support guidance and substantiation for MH-60 regime recognition tasks. The performance requirements include engineering tasks to conduct structural static and fatigue modeling including the development and usage characterization based on aircraft regime recognition efforts for the Navy MH-60. Specifically, requirements include, but are not limited to: Perform updated strain surveys on MH-60S test articles. Perform structural analysis. Maintain the MH-60 Crack and Corrosion History Database. Provide fatigue test support. Maintain and refine previously created, delivered, and correlated MH-60S FEM. Maintain and improve existing H-60 crack history database. The period of performance is anticipated to be one (1) base year plus four (4) one-year options. The intended place of performance is the Contractors facility. Interested responsible sources must submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to perform the tasking listed under the required capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. Any statement must clearly demonstrate the capability to respond to this requirement without detriment to the H-60 Helicopter Program and must include personnel/resources specifically qualified to provide the supplies/services described herein. The capability must include the companys approach to accomplish this effort in support of the H-60 Helicopter Program. This notice is not a request for proposal and does not imply or promise that the Government intends to award a contract vehicle as a result of this notice or in response to any capability statements received.
