Description

The Federal Aviation Administration, Western Service Area, Northwest Mountain Region, is conducting a Market Survey to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Interested sources must respond with information to confirm evidence of their qualifications and capabilities. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, or full and open competition. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. All interested vendors are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with vendor's Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: The purpose of this project is to provide landscape and irrigation system maintenance at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Non-Direction Beacon (NDB) and Medium Approach Lighting System REIL (MALSR) property, located west of the Saipan International Airport. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, supplies and tools required to maintain the lawns. Contractor shall also provide transportation to and from work site for contractor personnel, equipment, materials, supplies and tools required. All vehicles, mowing and spray equipment or other machines that are equipped with sparkplugs shall be provided with appropriate radio frequency (RF) suppression devices. Dead weeds shall be removed and properly disposed of. All refuse and rubbish, such as fallen trees, pruned tree limbs, shrubbery, cuttings and leaves resulting from the contractor's work shall be removed from the FAA property and hauled away to a proper landfill. NDB grass � 12,500 sq. ft. MALSR 6 light stations 400 sq. ft. each station total grass area to cut � 2,400 sq. ft. 400 sq. ft. of grass inside and outside the perimeter fence. The intended NAICS code is 561730 � Landscaping Services. The respective Scope of Work is subject to change before the final solicitation is advertised.
