- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source contract to L3Harris Technologies, Inc. for Bomb Rack Units shipsets (BRU-75A/76A) in support of the P-8A program. This procurement is for an anticipated base quantity of up to ten (10) BRU-75A/76A shipsets and related support, and two (2) option years for up to fifteen (15) shipsets per each option year. Deliveries are anticipated to occur 25 months after award. These requirements will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, ""Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."" L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A BRU-75A/76A, and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government requirements on a timely basis. Per FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), �All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.� This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
