- Description
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s Western Acquisition Division, is seeking sources regarding micro-respiration system equipment. Introduction: The contractor shall provide a micro-respiration system that measures oxygen respiration for marine larvae, including both bivalves and finfish, which is compatible with the existing Loligo micro-respiration system at NOAA. The respiration chamber shall allow for the individual measurement of respiration in marine larvae using small sample volumes (80 L). The system must be capable of processing 24 samples simultaneously. Each of the micro-respiration wells must include sensors to determine oxygen respiration, with appropriate fiber cables to connect to both the reader and the computer. The system shall be airtight, preventing oxygen absorption from the atmosphere once the experiment has commenced. Additionally, the system should accommodate animals in a size range from 80 m to 1700 m. Specifications include: One real-time core 24-channel optical fluorescence oxygen reader for high-throughput closed microplate respirometry. Ability to connect to up to 9 other microplate readers. Capability to measure oxygen saturation states from 0 to 235%. Resolution of 2% air saturation. Precision of 5% air saturation. Direct accuracy of <1% air saturation within one week. Response time of <30 seconds. Capacity to hold a 24-well plate. Connection to a computer via USB for high throughput. Compatibility with MicroResp software. Further details regarding the salient characteristics of the equipment are available in the attachments. Submission Instructions: Interested parties should submit their capabilities to meet the requirements outlined above by [19 JUN 2024]. Responses should include a detailed description elucidating the compatability with the aforementioned equipment or an equivalent technology. Contact Information: Capability statements are due no later than 19 JUN 2024 at 12:00 CST. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads 143021-24-0221-1 Micro Respiratory Equipment. To ensure your response along with any and all attachments are received, attachment(s) must be less than 20 MB [in total]. It is the responsibility of the offeror to contact the government to confirm receipt prior to the offer due date and time. Capability statements shall be submitted by email ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to the following POC: jacob.gray@noaa.gov 210.400.9512 **Disclaimer: This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by the government to award a contract.
