- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam Office, located approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas, is performing market research to construct an electric vehicle charging station and is requesting industry participation. 1. Would using solar panels as a source of energy for charging on the parking garage roof add to the cost of the project, or make it more self-sustaining? 2. If solar panels WOULD increase the cost, would it be preferable to simply focus on using the available electricity generated by our power station? 3. What would be a reasonable time frame for constructing several stations. 4. Our needs are: a. 1 charging station at the warehouse. b. 1 charging station/receptacle at the tailbay c. Charging stations available for commercial use on top floor of garage and AZ parking lot. d. Charging stations available for commercial use by employees. 5. Do you have variable business models? For instance, is there a model where the cost of infrastructure is borne by the contractor but they are able to recoup through revenue of charging? 6. Are maintenance and service performed as part of your package? 7. How much labor would be required from government employees to maintain the equipment? 8. Who ensures the stations are working properly? 9. How long do these stations last? Interested firms must submit the following information: 1. Name and address of Firm 2. Phone number 3. Email Address 4. Unique Entity ID Number (Formerly the DUNS Number) 5. Statement as whether the firm manufacturers the end product or not. 6. Identify if the product is American made or not. 7. Size status/SBA certifications (Small business, Women Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise, other) 8. Capability Statement (not to exceed 5 pages). A brief summary of capabilities to include demonstration of the company's capability to perform the work. Previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity to include references with point of contact information. Customary lead times for these types of items. Any known or foreseeable issues with manufacturing these types of items.
