- Notice of Intent to Sole Source This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) and 6.301-1(c), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, and brand-name descriptions. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers located at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury MA 02132-4927. Repair and corrective maintenance of the GE 3T MRI. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to: GE Precision Healthcare LLC UEI: JJURYE5M19G1 3000 North Grandview Boulevard Waukesha, WI 53188-1615 The NAICS 334517. The size standard is 1200 Employees. The PSC/FSC is J065 A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Governments intent to award on a sole source basis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This notice will close on June 13, 2024, at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) STATEMENT FOR SCOPE OF WORK GE 3T MRI (s/n: VAWESTROX750W) Chiller Corrective maintenance REQUESTING SERVICE: Clinical Engineering VA Boston Healthcare System West Roxbury INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this service is to have one (1) corrective maintenance service on one of the MRI chiller by the vendor is required to ensure this medical device system performs to all OEM safety and functional standards. BACKGROUND: The MRI system is a highly complex medical device used in the diagnostic imaging of patients in the Radiology Department Radiology suite at the West Roxbury campus of the VA west Roxbury Medical Complex. SCOPE & PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: The scope of services provided will include: The vendor trained Field Engineer will perform a corrective maintenance service on the GE MRI chiller system The vendor will perform the corrective maintenance on site in the MRI suit at the West Roxbury campus. In the event that the chiller system is found to require any additional repair service beyond the scope of the agreed up on maintenance, the vendor will reach out to Clinical Engineering and procure written authorization to proceed w/ any additional repair. At the completion of the corrective maintenance service, the vendor will certify that the MRI chiller system is in full working order and performing in conformity to all OEM safety and functional standards. The Vendor will provide a complete service report detailing all repair and testing performed on the MRI chiller system. The A&A requirements do not apply, and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required DELIVERABLES: The following list itemizes the deliverables that are expected to be provided through this procurement Vendor will perform a corrective Maintenance service on one (1) GE 3T MRI chiller including all system components. The above services will be performed on site, in the MRI suit at the West Roxbury campus of the VA Boston. Vendor will perform full safety and functionality testing (to all OEM standards) of this medical device system during the course of this corrective maintenance service. Vendor will provide a complete service report to Clinical Engineering detailing results of all corrective maintenance actions and test results performed during this service activity.
