Description
USPS National Office Furniture Systems Request for Information Release Date: June 10, 2024 Response Date: August 09, 2024 This information has been prepared by United States Postal Service Facilities National Programs Category Management Team (CMT). This Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Postal Service will act in this matter. Background The US Postal Service is seeking to identify potential suppliers who possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide Office Furniture Systems and Workstation Clusters to USPS Facilities nationwide. USPS defines an office furniture system as a modular system of configurable furniture components designed to provide a comprehensive office environment and generally includes interconnecting, structural panels as central integrating elements or may employ rails, beams, frames, uprights, cores, or freestanding based elements. Panels/privacy screens, work surfaces, overhead storage and shelving pedestals, filing, task management systems, lighting, electrical, wire management and similar items comprise furniture systems and workstation clusters. Workstation clusters are workstations generally arranged around a central point and which have a fixed footprint. Floor to ceiling demountable walls, partial height walls, and spine type walls which accommodate system furniture components are acceptable as part of or in conjunction with a furniture systems line. ""Systems"" consisting of traditional conventional furniture such as desks, returns, carrels, credenzas, etc. are not acceptable, however; hard goods e.g., chairs, desks and credenzas maybe purchased independently of workstations or furniture systems. Response Notes It is emphasized that this RFI is NOT a Request for Proposal, nor is it an Invitation for Bid. This RFI is being used to promote competition and to obtain information for market research and planning purposes only, and the Postal Service does not intend to enter into an implementation arrangement at this time. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Postal Service to form a binding agreement. This RFI is subject to review or cancellation at any time and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Postal Service to enter into an agreement. The Postal Service will not pay for the information submitted in response to this request. Please do not request a copy of the solicitation, as no solicitation exists currently. Note that the United States Postal Service does intend to solicit this agreement soon. Response Instructions All responses must be received by 4:00pm Eastern time on August 09, 2024. Interested suppliers should provide Name of firm, Point-of-Contact info (name, email, phone), and a capabilities statement via email to Angela Johnson, at angela.c.johnson2@usps.gov and Erik Speelmans at erik.j.speelmans@usps.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential respondents to monitor the System for Award Management (SAM) website www.sam.gov for further information regarding this RFI. The Postal Service will provide confirmation of RFI response submissions within one business day of receipt. If submitters do not receive this confirmation or for any RFI-related questions, contact Angela Johnson, at angela.c.johnson2@usps.gov or Erik Speelmans at erik.j.speelmans@usps.gov.
