Detergent cleaning and water rinsing will take large sums of water, creating issues with runoff, even with ground protection. Will a chemical cleaner be allowed? Response: Chemical cleaner is not allowed. Plans CD101 Keynote 4 mentions an existing POW/MIA flag needing removal and reinstalling. From our site visit, we didn t notice a POW/MIA flag in the location stated on the plans. Please confirm if this will still be part of the scope. Response: A new POW/MIA flagpole adjacent to the building is still required per the design plans and project scope. Will a mortar analysis be required for the mortar repairs? Response: Yes, mortar analysis should be performed to ensure similar material is used for replacement. There does not appear to be a Div. 4 masonry spec will one be provided? Response: Division 4 Masonry Specification is not provided due to the limited scope of the project. None will be provided. Only replacement mortar analysis (RFI #3 above) and matching color is required for the limited repairs. Can we submit our bid via email, if we mail the original hardcopy Bid Bond prior to the due date? Response: Provide all bid on the closed date of the bid prior to the reading time. Out-build Scheduling Software is not known to the NCA; however the preparation of schedules can be performed by any tools as long as it meets the specification requirements. Specific Project Management and Scheduling software is at the discretion of the Contractor as long as it meets specification requirements for tracking and data. Will directional boring be allowed? Response: The depth of the existing burials in the historic cemetery is unknown. Directional boring of the single electrical line to the flagpole may be more difficult, however the Contractor can specify alternate means and methods for approval prior to construction.
