Description: Removal and disposal of objects from within the Delaware River channel of the Philadelphia to Sea Deep Draft Navigation Project This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION & MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.� This IS NOT a request for proposals, quotations, or bids.� Responses to this request will not be returned.� Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation.� It is the intent of the USACE Philadelphia to use this information for market research purposes only.� The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code 237990 or 562910 and to establish that there are adequate large and/or small business contractors for providing the marine work described below.� The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information.� If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via Federal Business Opportunities (http:www.fbo.gov). Principal Characteristics of the Scope of Work: Removal and disposal of objects from within the Delaware River channel of the Philadelphia to Sea Deep Draft Navigation Project. These objects are shallower than the authorized depths of the respective projects and hence pose a potential hazard to navigation.� Objects can shift and exact locations will need to be verified by survey crews just prior to removal. The government plans to provide survey services in support of all object removal efforts.� The contractor shall also bid on providing these same survey services. These objects are within the main Delaware River, Philadelphia to Sea navigation channel. Previous similar removal actions have encountered boulders, large trees, large concrete channel marker/buoy blocks and other miscellaneous debris and have been successfully lifted and removed by grapple style buckets. The contractor shall supply all required floating mechanical plant, operating personal and necessary miscellaneous equipment to locate, remove, and dispose of large objects recently found on USACE multibeam hydrographic surveys. The contractor must be able to successfully reach depths of up to 55 feet at high tide and have a minimum 100-ton lift capacity with the ability to spud down and hold position in 50FT of water in the current and conditions of the Delaware River. The contractor shall be required to submit an overall safety plan (IAW EM 385-1-1), equipment specific lift plan and work plan for USACE approval as part of the SATOC process. The contractor shall be responsible for all applicable submittals per EM 385-1-1 for the work being performed. The contractor shall retrieve, store, transport and dispose of all objects off-site in accordance with all applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Period of Performance for this SATOC will be for a period of five years. All interested business concerns for this requirement may submit the following: Company name. DUNS number. CAGE Code. Type of business concern (small business, large business, etc.). Years in business. Statement of capability and qualifications of the organization to perform the required work. List of similar projects worked on over the past 5 years and services provided on those projects. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237990 or 562910. Why these NAISC codes.
