Description
The Department of State is conducting market research to determine the degree of interest and capability of�experienced U.S. Owned Small Businesses only in providing consolidation & receiving services in the area of the Port of Miami. The Department of State, Office of Logistics Management has an ongoing requirement to provide transportation and warehouse services for the shipment/storage of supplies, household effects (HHE), official vehicles and the shipment of privately owned vehicles for State Department employees and its Foreign Service Posts worldwide.� The primary function of the consolidated receiving point contractors in the US is to receive Government supplies/equipment, personal effects, household effects, privately owned vehicles, and official vehicles, being shipped to embassies and consulates overseas and then consolidate them for shipping in sea containers to their onward destination. Additionally, the consolidated receiving contractors must have the capabilities of picking up loaded steamship containers from the pier(s) in the Miami or Fort Lauderdale Commercial Port zone and transport the steamship container to the Contractor�s local warehouse for unloading. Contractor must be able to receive import packed personal effects, official vehicles, privately owned vehicles, supplies and/or equipment and release to Department of State authorized transportation service providers. The NAICS code for these services is 493190. Current contract is an 8(a) set-aside and is expected to remain in the 8(a) SDB program, but the Department is seeking information for small businesses and other socio-economic firms at this time. Any potential new contract vendor must be fully ready to receive, store, and ship freight as of April 1, 2025. � Please see attached CRP Miami Sources Sought document and Contractor Information sheet. Interested parties shall also complete the Contractor Information Sheet which is attached.
