The information may be used in consideration of construction contract bid development for Project # 542-21-201, Remove Underground Fuel Storage Tank E-85 at the Coatesville VAMC. QUESTION: Is shoring going to be required for UST E85 removal? RESPONSE: Refer to Drawing M-101 and Specifications Section 31 20 11. Ultimately, Tank Removal Note 9 on M-101 applies. QUESTION: Is any soil sampling beyond PADEP requirements going to be called for? RESPONSE: No. QUESTION: What are unit pricing requirements for potential contaminated soil removal? RESPONSE: Sampling, remediation, and disposal unit price of soil remediation per cubic yard. See revised bid sheet. QUESTION: Is the small canopy over the dispenser on E85 system to be removed? RESPONSE: No. QUESTION: Is all aboveground conduit for the E85 system back to Veeder-Root to be removed? RESPONSE: Yes. QUESTION: Are new Veeder-Root overfill alarms to be provided for upgrades to gasoline and diesel tanks? RESPONSE: Existing alarms should be reused. QUESTION: What is the probe depth/ height on gasoline tank? RESPONSE: 7) Gasoline AST is a 1,000 gallon Fire Hopper tank manufactured by Highland Tank. QUESTION: 8) Is a Fuel Monitoring System going to be required for gasoline/ diesel tanks or is a dispenser/ pump with card reader system sufficient? RESPONSE: 8) Veeder-Root TLS 450 ATG is shown on the electrical drawings. Existing sensors and probes shall be reconnected. A new Gasboy islander FMU is shown on drawings M-101 and M-102. QUESTION: 9) For gasoline tank system, is a suction pump/dispenser unit mounted to an aboveground spill containment bucket allowed rather than tank top pump? RESPONSE: 9) System is shown with a remote pump on drawing M-102. The design intent is for a replace in kind dispenser unit. On Page 82 of the Solicitation document, there are 13 documents listed.
