- Description
- VETERINARY SERVICES FOR AN IACUC COMMITTEE REQUEST FOR QUOTE - AMENDMENT 1 The purpose of this Amendment is to 1) extend the quotes due date, and 2) answer submitted questions. No further questions will be accepted. 1) The quotes due date is extended to 05/31/2024 at 1200 PDT. 2) Questions and Answers: QUESTION: Will the government be furnishing all veterinary tools, controlled drugs, diagnostics, surgical equipment, etc. used or prescribed by the contractor veterinarian? ANSWER: Yes QUESTION: Pg 14 of 15, Section 2.0 states, ""Emergency visits may be necessary, as well."" Can the government provide an estimate on the frequency of emergency visits? Also, can the government provide the expectation on how quickly the contractor veterinarian should arrive at the site after being contacted for an emergency visit? ANSWER: The primary role of the Vet would be to review protocol and projects to comply with AWA. Any emergency visit would be to investigate issues as described above and response time would be probably around 72 hours. I don't think we can provide an estimate for this because this contract is a response to new policy in place and we have no record of past incidents. Our expectation is that the frequency would be low given how few fish we typically have in captivity. QUESTION: In light of the Federal Holiday on 05/27/2024, will the government consider extending the RFQ due date? ANSWER: Yes. It will be extended to 05/30/2024 at 0600 PDT. QUESTION: Can you provide a list of the species associated with this project? ANSWER: Research may encompass any species of fish found in the Colorado River Basin, including NATIVE: Bluehead Sucker Flannelmouth Sucker Humpback chub Razorback NON-NATIVE Black Crappie Bluegill Brown Trout Channel Catfish Common Carp Green Sunfish Red Shiner Smallmouth Bass Striped Bass Walleye Black Bullhead Fathead Minnows Plains Killifish Rainbow Trout Yellow Bullhead Additional field work is conducted on the Southwest Willow Flycatcher and a variety of turtles/tortoises found in California and Arizona.
