Description
Rehabilitation of Roads and Levees at Merritt Island NWR Florida. 9. Material has two (2) delivery sites. The first 6,000 tons will be delivered and stockpiled at the Refuge Maintenance Center on SR402. T h e r e m a i n d e r o f a p p r o x i m a t e l y 7 , 1 0 4 t o n s w i l l b e d e l i v e r e d t o t h e B i o l a b s i t e . Refuge personnel will assist delivery drivers with finding the alternate delivery location. Deliveries will be pre-coordinated with refuge staff and received Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 4:30pm. There will be no deliveries on Federal Holidays. There is no restroom at the delivery site. If a restroom is needed at the delivery site it will be provided by the contractor. Deliveries may be stopped by the Refuge if rain causes the material being delivered to become saturated or caused the poor road/ground conditions at the delivery site. The prevailing vendor will be required to submit a material sample (5 gallons minimum) along with a lab evaluation, to the Merritt Island NWR Refuge HQ office, 1963 Refuge HQ Rd, Titusville, FL 32780, at least 10 days prior to bid award for evaluation and approval. 1. Total Tons/Yards Required: Approximately 17,850 tons. Pre-Award PR modification will be done once quantities and pricing are finalized. Material will need to be inspected prior to starting deliveries to ensure quality of material is up to standards. Random inspections to ensure quality will be performed by refuge staff. 2.
