- The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106(b) to obtain: Temporary Licensing to use Connex Server Application Support Agreement for Vitals Management manufactured by Baxter Healthcare DBA Welch Allyn Period of performance (estimated): 06/01/2024 through 05/30/2025 with potential for (4) option years Basic description of the requirement: Connex Vitals Management Software works with the Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor to help automate the vitals documentation process. It integrates with CPRS and allows for the automation of data input directly from patient bedside to CPRS greatly reducing the need to manual data entry and vitals checks. This software was developed by Connex for Welch Ally for use with their proprietary equipment and software requirements and is designed to communicate directly and accurately with the VA s widely and currently used Center Patient Records System (CPRS) application. The software delivers real-time patient vitals to both providers as well as recording it on the patients records seamlessly. Additionally, In order to maintain warranty and support for the equipment currently in use, such as the Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor currently in use at the facility, this software is proprietary to both the developer and the equipment it communicate with. Baxter Healthcare DBA Welch Allyn is the sole authorized provider of this support software service and has the rights to the software and ability to send updates to such software as needed. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Friday May 24th at 14:00 Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE CONNEX the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned.
