- Description
- ***Q&A Set 1 of 1 Q1.The 5 sets per employee only accounts for 1 per day for the week (if they work 5 days/week).Typically, we'll provide 10-11 units per individual since one week of laundry will be washed while the other set is available for wearing (so 5 on hand for the individual and then 5 getting washed). Please let me know if only 5 is acceptable per individual or if ensuring they have 5 clean per week with 5 being washed (+ 1 spare). The quantity provided assumes the 5 per individual already, correct? The quantity does NOT describe the numberof employees, correct? A1.Currently the shops that do have coveralls have 5 total per employee. Two to three coveralls on hand and two to three coveralls with launderer. The PWS is correct at five total coveralls per individual. They work 4-day workweeks and typically wear two days before changing out. Q2.For rags, it mentions monthly pick up, but we would recommend weekly or at least a shorter frequency to avoid having the rags sit and absorb the soil, which may also cause undesirable smells. With this, we can help manage the inventory to ensure the facility is fully stocked with. However, we will of course accommodate your requests. Please let meknow if there is any concern on the monthly based on this consideration. A2. If you would like to pick up more frequently, that is fine. As long as the monthly numbers are the same. Since the coveralls will be swapped weekly, it would not require an extra trip. Q3.Do you need us to provide soil bins for dirty coveralls? I was not sure if there is already a bin available or system setup for soiled items. A3. Yes, soil bins for dirty coveralls/rags shall be provided by the contractor at each location to comply with PWS section 1.1 and 4.1. Q4.Is there currently an incumbent? If so, can you share the award amount and who it is? A4. There are multiple vendors servicing all locations, but this has never been awarded under a federal contract. The current requirement is to have all locations serviced under one contract. Q5.Just wanted to check if Flame Resistant is acceptable in lieu of Fire Retardant for coveralls. What is the NFPA classification? A5. Flame resistant is acceptable provided they are OSHA compliant for intermitent welding activities. NFPA classification is not known. *Combined Synopsis-Solicitation document is updated to correct errors. The Florida Army National Guard has a requirement for a nonpersonal service contract to provide coveralls, rags, and mats to 19 locations throughout Florida. Coveralls. Five sets per employee issued by size with name tape identifiers. Color and materiel need to be functional in a maintenance shop in high temperatures, flame retardant for up to three personnel. Sleeve length will be determined by each delivery location. Dirty coveralls will be picked up up on a weekly basis, cleaned, and returned the following week when the next pick-up occurs. Rags. These items must be a cotton blend and approximately 14 X 14 to 18 X 18 in size. Dirty rags will be exchanged monthly. Overall clean rag count will be equal to original issue QTY for each drop off Mats. Several types will be needed. Scraper Mats, approximately 3 X 5, to provide aggressive scraping action and trap dirt and debris in recessed areas until the mats are cleaned. Traction Mats, approximately 4 X 6, must trap dirt and moisture to protect your floors and enhance the safety of the facility. Rug Runner, approximately 3 X 8, must trap dirt and moisture to protect your floors and enhance the safety of the facility. Length will be verified by individual location. Floor mats must be exchanged monthly with rag exchange. Period of Performance (PoP) shall be 1 Base Year of 12 months and 4 12-month option years.
