- Notice of intent to award a sole source This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a requirement with Thundercat Technology. The applicable NAICS code is 541519. The PSC is N075. The authority for this action is FAR 13.106-1(b)(2): Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. GENERAL GUIDANCE 1. Title of Project: Purchase of ThunderCat Technology AV and VTC conference room setup 2. Scope of Work: This turn-key solution for the upgrade/installation of new AV and VTC equipment includes AV systems engineering, touch panel control, programming, equipment, parts, and labor. All engineering, touch panel design and system programming will remain consistent to retain a unified audio/video/VTC environment. This section describes hardware installation and general functionality or specifications. All equipment provided and installed by TEAM THUNDERCAT unless otherwise specified. Display(s) The following display devices will be integrated into the system: 1, 65 flat panel display with mount for displaying video content within the space. The Display will be wall mounted in the location(s) specified in the project drawing package. Source Equipment and Interfaces The following sources will facilitate end user laptop connections: 2 USB-C Clickshare buttons located at the table for laptop connectivity. The following source devices will be integrated into the system: Barco Clickshare is the wireless presentation device we are proposing. It can broadcast its own secure wireless network that user connect to via the USB dongle (no changing networks on your laptop required). Routing and Switching The following video routing and switching devices will be integrated into the system: All switching of video sources will be handled by the display. Audio The following audio devices will be integrated into the system: An all-in-one soundbar, located below the display, will support playback of program and conferencing audio. The soundbar will be black in color. Conferencing The following conferencing devices will be integrated into the system: USB audio and video connections will facilitate Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) conferencing for user laptops. The signals for these devices will be connected to a USB hub that accepts both USB 2.0 and 3.0 to provide a single USB connection to the user. 1 all-in-one camera/microphone/speaker bar. Audio for BYOD conferencing will utilize the camera's built-in microphone. Equipment Rack and Accessories All equipment will be mounted on the wall behind the display(s). 3. Background: this equipment is needed for a recently renovated conference on VA Boston Healthcare System Jamaica Plain campus 13th floor A wing room # 85 4. Performance Period: Date of award good until after the PO is created and equipment is delivered. 5. Type of Contract: This is a federal supply source contract. B. CONTRACT AWARD MEETING No contract award meeting will be necessary. C. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS D. SPECIFIC MANDATORY TASKS AND ASSOCIATED DELIVERABLES Shipment, delivery and setup of the equipment: Patricia M Cahill of the National Center for PTSD, Behavioral Science Division in Jamaica Plain 13th Floor A Wing room #85. E. EVALUATED OPTIONAL FEATURES N/A F. SCHEDULE FOR DELIVERABLES The Company will deliver and install the equipment on a mutually agreed upon date between vendor and customer after a PO from contracting has been issued. G. CHANGES TO THE STATEMENT OF WORK The process for making changes to the SOW is presented in this section. Making changes by any other means may require ratification of an unauthorized action requiring the approval. H. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS I. TRAVEL No extra travel is anticipated under this contract. J. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Access to VA Boston Health Care System Jamaica Plain room 13-A85 will be given to the vendor for them to install. K. CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS This vendor has provided similar services/equipment to the VA Boston Healthcare Systems West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain campus in the Directors Suite and the Neuroscience Building. L. CONFIDENTIALITY AND NONDISCLOSURE No Records or Reports will be generated from this system. CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: The vendor will check in with the VA Jamaica Plain Police for a temporary day badge and will be escorted on site during installation.
