- Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 SPECIAL NOTICE: INTENT TO AWARD FY24: CATERPILLAR GENERATOR MAINTENANCE SERVICE SPECIAL NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center (JAHVAMC), 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida, intends to award a repair and preventative maintenance contract with RING POWER CORPORATION, authorized service provider for the Caterpillar Generators, CAT 3516, 2000KW Equipment. Period of performance is 05/28/2024-05/27/2029. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, tools, and parts necessary to perform the Annual Maintenance, Inspection, and 52-point Technical Analysis for eight (8) CAT 3516 Engines and Generators at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH), 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL. The contractor shall provide a Certified inspector I technician with a minimum of 5 years field inspection experience on the CAT 3516 Engines and Generators to perform Annual Maintenance, Inspection, and 52-point Technical Analysis. The Contractor must have the proprietary software and computer program to perform and document the technical inspections required. The contractor will be responsible for creating and maintaining an Annual inspection schedule per manufactures specifications. The Contractor shall also: Perform the 52-point Technical Analysis from form #565E, Chemically test engine coolant, Take samples to have the Laboratory analyze, Temperature verification, generator and radiator, Change engine oil filter(s), Change fuel filter(s), Drain engine crankcase oil and refill to proper capacity, Test run of engine to ensure no leaks, will prime fuel system if necessary Dispose of used oil and filter(s) adhering to EPA regulations Provide service report #565, this will advise of any problems noted with unit, and differentiate whether it is covered by the warranty. The Contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer (Caterpillar) that they are authorized as service providers of the listed equipment and can obtain Caterpillar OEM parts. NAICS: This requirement will be classified under NAICS code 811310 with a size standard of $12.5M. No solicitation document is available. This Special Notice will close on 07/17/2024, at 3:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time.
