Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Construct Chain Link Fence, NICO The National Park Service, Contracting Operations Central, intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) solicitation for the Construct Chain Link Fence requirement for Nicodemus National Historic Site in Nicodemus, KS. Work consists of: Installing a 60ft x 60ft x 8ft high chain link fence with a 24ft double gate and 4ft personnel gate. The fencing material will be supplied by the NPS, and the contractor will need to supply the concrete and labor to install the fence. Install the government, furnished material to construct a 60-foot x 60-foot X 8-foot chain link fence around the perimeter of a storage area. This will include two gate locations, a 24� wide double gate and a 4� wide personnel gate. Contractor will work with COR for final alignment of fence. Fence is to be constructed to the standards of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Chain Link Fence Manufactures Institute (CLFMI). Fence is to be straight and square with ability to withstand 70-mile an hour wind load from all directions. The government will provide all the fencing materials required to complete this project. Contractor is responsible to locate underground utilities ""Kansas 811"". Set posts plumb, and straight, fill remaining hole with 4500 PSI pre-mixed concrete. Mixing of the concrete in the hole will not be permitted. Secure posts until concrete is set and firm to perform the remaining installation to described standards. Install gates and associated hardware securing to appropriate standards listed above. Fence is to be installed following the grade of the area, with bottom fence set 1-inch above final grade. Install tension wire around entire perimeter bottom to ensure security. Inspect operations of the gates after stretching fence mesh and adjust accordingly to ensure smooth operations. Remove temporary supports and level all displaced dirt to the immediate surroundings. Clean work site and remove all waste including waste associated with the government furnished materials. No work may be performed on the last week of July or the first week of August. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6024Q0024 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Less than $25,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: If awarded, this will be a firm fixed price contract, expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by late spring/early summer 2024 with performance to begin within 30 days of award/10 days of Notice to Proceed. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Graham, County, KS will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238990, and the size standard is $19 million. This project is set aside for 100% Total Small Business. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (IFB) and its attachments will be issued and available on or about 5/24/2024 to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities.
