The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 334510 (size standard 1,250). Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Because of its superior sensitivity and specificity, medical thorascopy is replacing conventional blind pleural biopsies. The requirements for the ERBE system are as follows: The cryosurgery system must be a system for flexible bronchoscopy airway management The system must allow us to utilize our current Olympus EUS scope and be fully compatible with the Olympus pleuro-video system. The cryosurgical system must utilize the controlled application of extreme cold to devitalize tissue and for removal of foreign bodies, mucous plugs, necrotic tissue and tissue biopsy by cryoadhesion. The system shall be compact in design, simple to setup and pose no risk of airway fires. The system shall be indicated for use in airway stenoses (e.g., exophytic tumor, granulation tissue), foreign body extraction, mucous plug removal, cryobiopsy and cryo-recanalization Contractor shall treat all deliverables under the contract as the property of the U.S. Government for which the Government Agency shall have unlimited rights to use, dispose of, or disclose such data contained therein as it determines to be in the public interest. Contractor shall not create or maintain any records that are not specifically tied to or authorized by the contract using Government IT equipment and/or Government records. Contractor shall not retain, use, sell, or disseminate copies of any deliverable that contains information covered by the Privacy Act of 1974 or that which is generally protected by the Freedom of Information Act. Contractor shall not create or maintain any records containing any Government Agency recordsthat are not specifically tied to or authorized by the contract. The Government Agency owns the rights to all data/records produced as part of this contract. The Government Agency owns the rights to all electronic information (electronic data, electronic information systems, electronic databases, etc.) and all supporting documentation created as part of this contract. The contractor must deliver sufficient technical documentation with all data deliverables to permit the agency to use the data. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications.
