Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the questions made by vendors in response to solicitation no. 36C24824Q0944, and to provide the date for the Site Visit (see answer provided on question 5 for site visit details). The questions made in response to the aforementioned solicitation, as well as the answers are as follows: 1- Question: Does the DLX include the insulation liner? Answer: Yes, it does. 2- Question: Is the equipment new or used? Answer: The DLX system is new and has only been assembled for training purposes. However, the Western Shelter is used. 3- Question: Are DLX and Western Shelter equipment maintenance certification needed for this solicitation? Answer: It is required that the Contractors that submit quotes in response to this solicitation have experience in providing these types of services (see past performance evaluation factor under the addendum for FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors). Once awarded the Contract, the Contractor shall certify his personnel to ensure their proficiency in correctly assembling and maintaining these systems. 4 - Question: Can this solicitation be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses? Answer: No. The VA Rule of Two was not met during the market research phase of this procurement. Therefore, it was found to be in the Government s best interest to procure these services through Small Businesses. 5 - Question: Can a site-visit be coordinated? Answer: A site visit will be conducted on May 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM Atlantic Standard Time. The meeting location will be the VA Carolina Warehouse at coordinates 18.4313202, -65.9876331. Additionally, the quote submission deadline has been moved to May 17, 2024, 10:00 AM Atlantic Standard Time. Quotes shall be submitted via email to wilfredo.perez3@va.gov.
