- MACA-INSTALL HOTEL GENERATOR/UPGRADE ELETRICAL THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A �REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)� TO BE SUBMITTED. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NOTE: THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED 8(a) SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED SERVICE DISABILED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES, WOMAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES and INDIAN SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC ENTERPRISES The information received will be used within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of interested businesses that have the capability and relevant experience to replace the generator and provide electrical upgrades, located at Mammoth Cave NP. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement as a set-aside based upon responses to the notice and other market research is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The release of this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or as an authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. The NPS does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The NPS, Mammoth Cave National Park (MACA), and the ConOps East Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) seeks to determine the availability and capability of potential SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED 8(a) SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS, INDIAN SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC ENTERPRISES and WOMAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES for the project below. Solicitation No.: 140P5324R0025 Project Name: MACA REPLACE FAILING EMERGENCY BACKUP GENERATOR AND PRIMARY ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT AT MAMMOTH CAVE HOTEL Physical Address: 1 Mammoth Cave Pkwy, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259. The anticipated firm fixed price construction contract is expected to have a magnitude between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. NAICS: 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, size standard $ 19.0 Set Aside: 100% small business set-aside. Estimated Period of Performance 8/2/2024-801/2025 Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Construction, A single-award. A complete Statement of Work will be included with the Solicitation. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on SAM.gov in early JUNE. All questions will be answered in writing via amendments to the Solicitation. Description of requirement: The Base Work consists of the following: 1. Replacing the existing visitor center generator to support the visitor center and hotel loads. This will include adding a new disconnect, low voltage transformer, automatic transfer switch and a new service feed from generator to low voltage transformer and from automatic transfer switch to existing hotel main distribution equipment. 2. Replacing and relocating the existing hotel service transformer. This will include demolition of the existing service transformer and service feed, installing a new service transformer and electrical feed to the hotel, constructing a transformer wing wall, and installing a new secondary utility meter. Option Item Work: WEST SIDEWALK 1. This item consists of demolition of existing sidewalk and construction of proposed sidewalk located on western edge of the Mammoth Cave Hotel per drawings and specifications. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
