- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. All information contained in this Sources Sought Announcement is preliminary, as well as subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request. The information requested will be used solely within the Department of Veterans Affairs to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the Government. The determination of a procurement strategy, based upon the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562112, Hazardous Waste Collection, and the small business size standard of $47 Million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) is soliciting information from contractors that can provide Biohazardous Waste Removal Services for the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS). A draft of the Performance Work Statement is attached to this notice. Brief Description of Services See Draft Performance Work Statement. Period of Performance (POP): 8/1/2024 7/31/2029 base year plus four ordering periods. All interested contractors must respond by email to Angela.Gerlitzki@va.gov no later than 3:00 pm PST on May 10, 2024. Please answer the following questions when responding: Must submit any/all medical waste license and permits as required by the California Department of Public Health and US Department of Transportation. Provide proof of ability to provide online real time waste stream data. What is your company s Socioeconomic Status? (ex: small business, large business, SDVOSB, etc.) a. If SDVOSB or VOSB, are you registered on the Veteran Small Business Certification website (VetCert)? https://veterans.certify.sba.gov Provide Company s legal name along with System for Award Management (SAM) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Capabilities Statement List of Projects (Government and Commercial) that are similar in scope and size. Anticipated Teaming Arrangements (if any). If plan on subcontracting, demonstrate that you will meet the limitations on subcontracting per FAR 52.219-14 for Small Businesses; VAAR 852.219-73 and VAAR 852.219-74 for SDVOSB/VOSB. GSA Contract Number, if applicable. Fill out the price estimate on the attached price schedule. Solicitation number 36C26124Q0376 has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. The Government will use this information when determining its business type decision.
