- Description
- RFI#1 Page 48 and 49 of the above Solicitation calls for a Formatted Table of Contents to be submitted with our bid. Can you please provide more details on what is expected? Pursuant to page 49 of the RFP, offerors are directed to submit their offer in two specific volumes that may contain numerous items within the volume. Each volume should include a table of contents, listing what is included in the volume and where (page number) it is in the volume. Format beyond what is included and what page (where) it starts is left to discretion of offeror but should be clear and concise. RFI#2 Past performance questionnaire. Are we only filling out our part now to submit with our bid or do we need to do it ahead of time to be completed with bid? Offerors are directed by the bottom of page one of the PPQ to fill out the section with their information, then ask their client to fill out the section for client information before returning it to the offeror so the offeror can include in the offer submitted to the VA for the project. Incomplete PPQs (missing client information) should state why they do not have client information since VA has reserved the right to contact clients to verify information. RFI#3 Page location for foundation details drawings? Foundation details can be found on sheet 6. RFI#4 What is the correct measurement of the rubberized layers? As noted in the drawings pads 2 and 3 are 2 inch thick rubberized layer and Building 85 will have 2.5 inch thick rubberized layer. RFI#5 Stated on Page 5 of 6 does the VA wants the entire green space infilled with a concrete pad, as mentioned on (Note)? Will the new concrete area be filled with the rubberized layer? No. Note 1 was misworded. There is no concrete. See detail 2/6 on sheet 6. RFI#6 What are the clarifications for detail 2 on page 6 of the drawings? On page 6 of 6, detail 2 calls for ¾- rock at 6 thick with the rubberized layer directly on top of the ¾- rock. However, page 5 of 6 note 1 calls for entire area to be concrete pad. No. Note 1 was misworded. There is no concrete. See detail 2/6 on sheet 6. RFI#7 Is the VA providing a GEO TECH report so that American Landscape Structures can design the footings? We do not have a GEO Tech. report within the construction site. However, attached are pictures of one of the pads after it had been excavated and a picture of one of the trenches near the pad after it was excavated. RFI#8 Please provide the specifications and installation requirements for each type of the VA provided exercise equipment, along with the quantities of each piece of equipment. See attached OR - Roseburg VA - Medical Center Outdoor Fitness - V9. RFI#9 Will the VA provided exercise equipment need to be assembled by the contractor, or just mounted in place? The contractor will have to assemble the exercise equipment. RFI#10 Will the exercise equipment be mounted directly to the rubber flooring, or will sections of flooring need to be blocked/cut out with spacers installed for the equipment to mount to? Exercise equipment will be mounted to the concrete. See manufacturers installation instructions. RFI#11 Will the contractor need to move the exercise equipment from a different location on campus to the pavilions, or will the equipment be delivered directly to the pavilions? If it needs to be moved by the contractor, please identify where it will be moved from. Yes, however, location is unknown at this time. RFI#12 The American Landscape Structures website shows many different options available for their pavilions. Please identify any options that are wanted that are not shown as standard item listed on their website. The pavilion is shown on the plan view in green. In the updating drawings. The desire for the facility is that the pavilion blend in with the existing structures at the facility. American Landscape Structures is a basis of design only and an equivalent company s pavilion would be accepted. RFI#13 Please identify the size, color, and profile of the gutters and downspouts to be used. This information is provided by the company who will provide the pavilion to ensure the gutters and downspouts are compatible with the pavilion. RFI#14 It calls for 6 inches of ¾ minus, compacted to 95% under each sonotube foundation. I don t believe it will be possible to test the compaction at these locations (due to depth below top of slab and diameter of hole for density testing machine to fit). Please clarify how the contractor is to confirm the compaction at these locations. There are non-nuclear soil density gauge equipment out there that can be used to determine % compaction. However, contractors shall use their own means & methods. RFI#15 Page 49 of 61 of the solicitation states that the page limit for the past performance is 5 pages. With the cover page and table of contents, this will not even allow one full past performance questionnaire to be submitted. Please confirm the page limit for the past performance volume. Contractors can provide three past performance reports. Three page max each. RFI#16 The page limit for the price volume is two pages. This will not allow a cover page, table of contents, the price schedule from the solicitation and the pricing division breakdown to be submitted. Please confirm the page limit for the price volume. Contractors can increase the page limit to 7. RFI#17 Is this a SDVOSB Set-Aside Yes, this project is SDVOSB Set-Aside. Response to all RFI s will be extended to Thursday May 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM PST
