- Description
- The California Great Basin Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Clear Creek Power Conduit Tunnel Lining Repair. This procurement is set-aside for Total Small Business. Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) using FAR Part 15, contracting by Negotiation Procedures. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $45M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. The work is located at U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Redding, California. PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK: Principal features of work include removing existing damaged concrete lining; replacing damaged concrete lining; oversizing existing weep holes; drilling and installing new weep holes; plugging piezometer openings; backfilling gravel drain voids with grout; and control and removal of water. The Project objective is to effect repairs that allow the tunnel to reach its 75-year service life by: � repairing damage to the concrete tunnel lining, and � prevent future damage from uplift forces by clearing existing weep holes and creating new weep holes where appropriate. Solicitation 140R2024R0013 will be posted electronically via www.sam.gov on or about May 15, 2024. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately June 14, 2024. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award.
