- Title:� HemaComply Software Maintenance and Support Services Product Service Code:�� 7A20 - IT and Telecom - Application Development Software (perpetual License Software) NAICS: - 513210 Software Publishers Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health Clinical Center 10 Center Drive Building 10, Room TBD Bethesda, MD 20892 POTS:� 24-005363 Description:� This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation.� A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. Correction. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC) on behalf of the Department of Transfusion Medicine intends to award a firm-fixed priced one year purchase order to HemaTerra Technologies LLC, located at�180 W Ostend Street, Suite 267A, in Baltimore, MD 21230 for continued HemaComply Software Maintenance and Support Services.�� The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Blood Bank collects blood and blood components for transfusion for clinical patients.� The NIH Blood Bank also collects blood components used in research. �The NIH Blood Bank is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks as a blood donor center and transfusion service.� Invita Healthcare Technologies responsibilities to provide software maintenance for HemaComply � Lab, HemaComply � Equipment Manager and HemaControl1 software products.� HemaConnect maintenance and support for existing Department of Transfusion Medicine Donor System.� Additionally, the software meets NIH security requirements and will interface with DTM's existing BBCS (Blood Bank Computer System) program. �The application will allow for the continued electronic management of records for NIH patients and donors. The Department of Transfusion Medicine is a unique blood center which: 1) collects blood and blood components from healthy donors to treat patients participating in many protocols; 2) blood components are collected to support biomedical research performed in laboratories at NIH; and 3) patients also donate blood products to determine the therapeutic benefit of removing various blood components or to obtain blood components needed to treat their medical condition. �Numerous regulatory authorities, specifically the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and American Association of Blood Bank (AABB), set policy and enforce the policy for monitoring of equipment that is used in support of the above. �The HemaTerra software application will allow for the continued electronic management of records for patients and donors at the NIH. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
